Kimber had her first set of shots at her 2 month checkup on Friday afternoon. We had heard from several people to give her baby Tylenol before the appointment so she won't be fussy afterwards, but we decided not to give her any medicine and see how she did. She did GREAT!
She obviously cried a little when she got the shots {and Mommy teared up a little, too}, but we were able to calm her down pretty fast.
After the appointment, we went shopping at Kohl's to pick up 3-6 month clothes for her since they were having a great sale {and she's quickly growing out of her 0-3 month clothes!}. She snuggled with Daddy most of the time we were shopping. After shopping it was time for her to eat, so I nursed her in the car while Nick ran into the grocery store for a bbq we were hosting the next day.
We headed to the Mexican restaurant for dinner. We hadn't been out to eat Mexican since before we had Kimber and we were both craving it! She did great at the restaurant - playing with her toys and smiling. After a while, she got bored of being in her car seat so I held her while Daddy finished his margarita!
By the time we got home and gave her a bath, she was starting to get fussy. We fed her and put her to bed. She slept from 9:00pm - 6:30am!
The next 2 days she slept a majority of the time. I didn't realize how much she would sleep during the day after getting her shots and was afraid she wouldn't sleep through the night. But I didn't have anything to worry about - she slept from 9:30pm - 7:30am on Saturday night!
She was back to her normal happy & smiley & awake self by Monday
