Halloween 2014: Trick or Treating!!

OMG! BEST HALLOWEEN EVER!!

I had so much fun taking Kimber trick or treating last night! I knew she would either be her happy smiley self or a crab pants & scared of everyone. Luckily, she was her normal happy self!! All except for when we initially put her in her costume. She did not love that. At all. Which I fully expected. We did a trial run a few weeks ago to make sure the bee costume fit and she cried as I was putting her in it. Until I put her in front of a mirror and she could see herself. Last night was no different. She hated the costume at first. But after she got used to it, saw herself in the mirror and I took the camera out of her face - she was back to her happy silly self!

I wanted Kimber to be a BEE last year for Halloween {since I call her KimBEE}, but wasn't able to find a costume. This year, I was shopping at TJMaxx back in early September and stumbled upon this costume and HAD to have it!! It was perfect!! She looked adorable in it and it was warm. So it was a win/win situation!

We met at Aunt Deb's house to change into our costumes and head out on the town. We went trick or treating with Gramma, Aunt Allysha, Cousins Chloe & Abrahm and Aunt Darcy & Cousin Zach. Uncle TJ has been in town all week to help with the harvest and he was able to go with us, too!! We also met up with Jane, Tara, Dave & Cousin Henry along the way.

So happy to go trick or treating!!

I even dressed up for the occasion! Two days before Halloween, I had the idea to dress up as a bee keeper and since I work at an Ethanol plant, I was able to get a white hazmat suit and add tulle to a hat - and I had an outfit!

Unfortunately, it didn't last very long with Kimber pulling at the tulle.
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted!

We went trick or treating at four houses in town and then headed to the retirement center since they are located close together and the kids wouldn't have to walk very far.

Kimber was starting to get hungry & alittle grumpy until Cousin Henry gave her a pumpkin brownie and then she was all smiles!

It took a couple houses, but Kimber soon got the hang of the whole trick or treating thing. She wasn't scared at all. She went up to the house, stuck her hand in the candy basket, pulled the candy out and stuck it in her pumpkin basket. I was a proud Mommy!!

After we got done trick or treating, we headed out to the farm for supper and to meet up with the men so they could see the kids. Daddy was excited to see his little KimBEE!!

I love my little family and celebrating holidays together!!
I'm already excited for next Halloween!!

Halloween 2014: Scary Cute!

Her personality cracks me up. It is the best. Nick & I will watch her, with huge smiles on our faces, as she runs around the house laughing and playing.

She is such a happy little girl. She smiles all the time. Is goofy and tries to make people laugh. And she loves to give kisses to everyone. She makes our hearts so happy and brings so much joy to our lives. Holidays are so much fun when you have a little one to celebrate with!

A $1.00 pumpkin bucket can add hours of entertainment!
I don't know why I buy expense toys...they're never as much fun.

Halloween 2014: Jammies

I am a huge fan of holiday jammies for Kimber. But this year, I just couldn't seem to find Halloween jammies that I loved. So instead of getting cute ones from GAP or Old Navy, I found skeleton ones last minute at Walmart. I knew she's only wear them for a short period of time, so I didn't want to spend a ton on them. And $5.00 seemed like a good price to me!

New House: Wide Open Spaces

While we worked on the house and the tile was being installed....the kids had fun with all the wide open spaces, the tools and the empty cabinetry in the living room.
