Weekend Wrap-up: Adventureland 2014

On Sunday, we went to Adventureland with Nick's family. It was a perfect day for an amusement park. The weather was in the mid-70's, so we weren't sweating to death. And it wasn't busy, so we didn't have to wait in long lines. Which is great when you have a 1, 2 and 4 year old!

Last year, we went to Adventureland when Kimber was only 3 months old. It was HOT. It was crowded. And we spent most of the day wearing her, nursing her and worrying about her {since we were new first time parents}.

This year was SO different and SO much more fun! Kimber was able to go on so many of the rides and she loved them! Especially the rides where she could hold onto a steering wheel.

All dressed & ready for the day!

First ride of the day. And the fun begins!!

Love that smile! She had so much fun on the lady bug ride!

Nick & I playing around with the funhouse mirrors!

Nick tried to win a new "Moo Cow" for Kimber, but he wasn't able to get the ball in the barrel.

This was the line for the dragon ride. There wasn't much of a wait on any of the rides!

After lunch, Kimber took a little snoozer. All the rides tuckered her out!

Riding the newest ride at Adventureland, the Storm Chaser. A giant swing ride that takes you 260 feet off the ground and spins you at 35 mph. It didn't look that bad from the ground, but Nick said it was HIGH!!!

The little semis were one of kids' favorite rides of the day. They went on it several times!

Even Gramma & Papa got to ride it!

I still can't get over how well she is walking these days! She was such a big girl and wanted to walk all over the park!

I can still hear her giggles when she was on this ride. It was beyond adorable!!

Next summer, the plan is to make the trip a 2 day event.
One day at the amusement park and one day at the water park!!
