Easter Weekend Wrap-up {Saturday}

Even though I was exhausted most of the day, Saturday was such a fun day! We played in the back yard, had a nice Easter meal together, relaxed on the couch, walked to the park, enjoyed ice creams treats and made s'mores by the fire pit that night. Kimber fell right to sleep when I nursed her at 8, so I thought I was going to have time to hang out with my family {with a drink} by the fire pit, but after just an hour she woke up and it took awhile to get her back to sleep. By that time, I was so tired that I called it a night since I knew the Easter bunny would be coming bright and early Sunday morning!

Kimber adores her cousin Lexi. Lexi is so good with her!!

The only way I could get Kimber to take her morning nap was by holding her. So we hung out on the couch while the older girls entertained us.

Kimber loved being pushed around in this car. I'm thinking it'll be a good 1st birthday gift!!

Ice cream treats after the park! She gets her love of ice cream from her Daddy!

Ready for bed! She got these cute jammies in her Easter basket from Auntie Allysha. So cute!

Easter Weekend Wrap-up {Friday}

We had a wonderful, exhausting, fun, draining Easter weekend. The weather was beautiful, so we were able to be outside most of the weekend. But Kimber isn't the best sleeper and when you throw her into a new place {with loud pre-teen kids} - it makes it even worse! Between her going to bed late and the Easter bunny coming early - I was exhausted and ready for a nap by the time we left on Sunday!!

Our Easter tradition is to spend it with my sister's family in Tea, South Dakota. We started getting together for Easter over 10 years ago since our family doesn't typically do an Easter celebration. TJ usually makes the trip with the kids. So again, this was a bittersweet holiday. Kimber's first Easter, but also the first Easter without Blake. Oh and did he love Easter! All the candy. Hunting for Easter eggs. It was one of his favorite holidays. Easter is also a holiday we spent with our mom. And this was the first Easter we spent together without her since we didn't get together the last 2 years, due to Blakey being sick. We thought of both Blake and Mom a lot over the weekend. And missed them like crazy.

We left town at 1:00 on Friday. Kimber's nap time. It is usually a 4 hour drive and we figured she's sleep the first 2 hours of the ride. Which she did. But the 4 hour ride quickly turned into a 5 1/2 hour ride due to having to stop 3 times for construction {and waiting 15 minutes for pilot cars} and a rest area pit stop for a diaper change. By the time we got to Franny's - I was ready for a drink!!

My view from the backseat for most of the trip while I entertained Kimber.

Taking a break from the car seat at the rest area and Daddy is teaching her how to drive!

Once we got to Franny's, we went out to dinner at Chili's and Kimber did pretty good. She had the mac & cheese - which she loved and devoured!! After dinner, we went back to my sister's to dye Easter eggs and hang out. Kimber had fun hanging out with her cousins and was so excited that we couldn't get her to sleep until 11:00. She was overtired and super fussy! Luckily, once we got her to sleep, she slept thru the night {until her normal 6am}. Needless to say, I needed lots of coffee on Saturday!

Kimber's Easter Basket

With Easter being less than a week away, the only thing on my mind is what I'm putting in Kimber's Easter basket.

Yes, I'm that anal. Yes, I searched pinterest for ideas. And yes, I made a list of what I wanted to include in her basket before I went shopping. That's who I am.

I ordered her Easter basket a few months ago and have already bought most of these items. I just have a few last minute things to pick up and then it'll be finished!

{oh, and ofcourse she'll know the true meaning of Easter as she grows up but at 10 months, I don't think she'll understand this year so it's more about the Easter basket for her}

I'm sure I'll get plenty of pictures of her basket on Easter morning, but here is what I plan on putting in her basket this year:

Easter Basket {RileyReigh}

Easter board book {TJ Maxx - also here}

Cabbage Patch Cutie {Walmart - also here}
{I thought it was a rabbit when I bought it. Now I see it’s a dog. Oops.}

Doll/Toy {Kohl’s}

Sippy Cup {Kohl's}

Puffs

Snack Catcher {Walmart}

Bibs {Target}

Pajamas {Kohl's}
